Obituary For Thomas James Carrigan

Thomas James Carrigan, 63, of Puyallup, WA passed away on June 16, 2022. Formerly of Franklin, MA; he was the son of the late Francis G. Carrigan and the late Gertrude (Foss) Carrigan. He attended Franklin schools. Thom worked & helped train others in the automotive & RV industry for over 40 years, including passing down his expertise to several of his children. He had a vested interest in teaching self reliance and loved to help others all across the country start their own businesses. He still had a desire to work till the day he passed. Thom was as patriotic as they came. He was very proud of his father who served in WWII and he would tear up at a good rendition of the National Anthem. He was a proud member of the APA and the Elks club. You could often find him at the bar playing an intense game of billiards or watching some kind of sports event. Thom loved his Boston and Seattle sports teams. He passed down that love & passion of sports to all of his children. Because he was such a history buff, he was always ready to be quizzed with some Trivial Pursuit cards (winner buys lunch lol). Therefore, Thom was a wealth of random knowledge. He also loved music.. all kinds of music. Thom was adventurous, and enjoyed traveling. Whether it was one of many family vacations or taking regular trips to the East Coast, he loved visiting & hanging out with his family & friends. A favorite pastime during family get togethers, was to enjoy conversation over a game of cards, dice, & board games. Thom was a longtime pillar and member in the church; loved to study the Bible and preach to anyone who would listen including total strangers. He baptized many including some of his own family members & children. Thom is survived by his sons Josiah (Alyia & 4 grandchildren), Judah (1 grandson), and Jacob (2 granddaughters). His daughters Rachael Marion (Justin & 5 grandchildren + 1 great grandson)Alycia Peralta (1 grandson), Christine (3 grandchildren) and Emily (w/ 2 grandpups). All lived in the Puget Sound region as did his former wife, Charisse Carrigan, who he was married to for over 26 yrs. He is also survived by his brothers Francis (Joann), Michael (Kathy), and Kenneth. And his sisters Patricia, Kathleen Hammond (Ron), Deborah LeBrun (Charlie), Mary Crombie and Anne Silva (Arthur aka Bumma); his youngest brother was the late Timothy Carrigan. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, & great nieces & nephews. Memorial services in Washington & Massachusetts are private.
