Born February 4, 1948, and a lifelong resident of Sumner, Thomas Eugene Tarrant devoted himself to preserving the neighborhood he grew up in. After 38 years of proud service at Boeing, he retired in 2008, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and loyalty. Tom passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, at the age of 77.

An outdoorsman through and through, Tom lived for fishing, water skiing, shooting, and scuba diving—but nothing lit him up like motorcycles. He and his younger brother Timothy Ross Ball Sr. spent countless days racing side by side, engines roaring and grins wide, forging memories that echoed long after the dust settled.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Lucile Ball, and brothers Louis Henry Tarrant and Timothy Ross Ball Sr. He is survived by his devoted partner, Jackie Schumacher; nephews Timothy Ball Jr. and Joshua Kelley-Duckworth; and nieces Angela Dringman, Cierra Ball, and Mercedes Ball.

A viewing and memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Voiles Funeral Home in Sumner.
