Tammy Regeina Stricklin-Elliott, born on February 11, 1961, in Cabool, MO, to Edgar B. Stricklin and Ellen Jeanette Holt, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 18, 2025, in Buckley, WA, at the age of 64.
Tammy was a loving sister to Anya Hansen (Rick), Tracy Stricklin (Adrianna), Brian Stricklin (Sherry), Dean Stricklin (Letha), Amber Morrow, Tony Stricklin (Ginger), and Devis Stricklin. She spent her early years in various places, including California, Tennessee, and Poplar Bluff, MO, before settling in Portageville, MO, in 1975.
In 1980, Tammy moved to Puyallup, WA, with her sister Anya. There, she met her dear friend Marley Daniels while working at a nursing home, and the two quickly formed a lifelong friendship that lasted 45 years. Tammy pursued multiple certifications in the medical field, becoming a CNA, surgical tech, and medical assistant. She dedicated her life to serving and caring for others, a value she instilled in her children and grandchildren.
In 1985, Tammy met her husband, Keith Elliott, with whom she remained friends until his passing in 2006. She was a devoted and selfless mother to Sarrah Stricklin, Naomi Adams (Jordan), Kyle Elliott (Sarah), and Grace Berrier (Bryce), raising them with love and dedication in Sumner, WA.
Tammy was a proud and fun-loving Nana to Tsion, Eden, Mae, Nazareth, Gideon, Lexi, Jaymz, Hudson, Harlow, Sofia, Hannah, Kamryn, Brantly, and Vincent, and a cherished Great-Nana to Keenan.
She found joy in nature, from rock collecting and beach visits to gardening. Music filled her life, particularly country and classic rock. She also had a passion for painting and cooking, creating cherished memories around the table with her family.
Tammy deeply valued the friendships she made throughout her life and was known for her unwavering kindness, compassion, and faith. Her love for God and family was the foundation of her life, a legacy she leaves behind for those who loved her.
Honoring her wishes, Tammy will be cremated, and her ashes will be spread at the ocean, a place she loved dearly. A memorial service will be held at the beach this summer to celebrate her life.
A passage from her Bible, circled and highlighted, reflects the love she carried in her heart:
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself." -- Matthew 22:37-39
Tammy’s love and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
