Obituary For Ryan Neal LaRont

In deepest loving memory

Ryan Neal LaRont

January 8th 1991 - October 13th 2024

Anyone who got the opportunity to meet Ryan knew his unwavering humor, his pure heart full of kindness and love. He was sensitive and sweet, the kind of man who would return a billion dollar bill to a stranger. Volunteering with his mom gave him a sense of purpose in the world. He made a friend everywhere he went. Either in school or out on a trail, he was the man who offered his hand in friendship to the people who inspired his soul.

As child he found peace in nature, spending most of his free time chopping down sticker bushes and stinging nettles to protect his sister as they navigated their path ahead. As a young man he enjoyed camping with his family. He loved fishing with his dad at the lake and learning to ski and wakeboard from his mom. He followed that passion through Boy Scouts, his schooling and through his work with the State Parks.

He found comfort in the company of his family, friends and fur babies. He loved being a part of the Hurricanes soccer team and carried that memory as he cheered on the Sounders with his loved ones. He found joy in his art and all things Pokémon and Disney. He loved costume parties and game nights with his friends where he was free to be the child at heart that was always calling to him.

Ryan was a deeply devoted loyal friend, son and brother. Forever young, he will be missed dearly.

Ryan, there isn't much I can write here that everyone doesn't already know about you. Your genuine kindness, your unwavering patience, your sweet nature. Your love of animals, the outdoors, music. Your willingness to help a stranger, your ability to connect with anyone and make them laugh. The love and admiration you had for your sister, how you spoke about your parents like they were your best friends. I moved to Washington not knowing many people and you were my first friend. How lucky I was to have you in my life. How kind you were to me, how much you made me smile. When I tell people about my time in Washington, I always bring you up. Riding around in an old state parks truck that was falling apart, listing to the only AM radio station that worked while laughing at each other's stupid jokes. We watched eagles and seals catch fish, hiked fern-lined trails, had lunch while looking at some of the most beautiful views in the state. Talking and laughing, serious and light conversations alike. God, you made me laugh. When I tell people about my time in Washington, I'll still bring you up. Before I talk about any of the lovely and wonderful things I experienced there, I'll talk about you first. Because you were the best thing. Sending all my love from Minnesota, Michelle
