Robert (Bob) Raymond Sanders was the third son born to Lee Sanders and Freda Bretthauer. He was born at home in Yuma, Colorado, graduated high school in Midway, Oregon, and graduated from Seattle University with an engineering degree.

The two loved of his life were Nancy Lee Hallenius and JoAnn Otto. With those unions he received 3 sons, 4 daughters, 5 stepsons, a bonus child, Heidi, and many grandchildren.

He loved to square dance, go fishing and golfing, play pickleball, volleyball, tennis, softball, football, and horseshoes. He also enjoyed playing card games like Hand and Food, Pegs and Jokers, and Salad. He was very creative and loved making things out of wood to give away.

Both of Bob's wives predeceased him as well as his parents, both brothers, twin sisters, a son (Ken), a son-in-law (Ron), and 2 daughters-in-law (Debbie and Paula).

Survivors include Berta (Clinton) Watts, Dennis Sanders, Theresa Bennett, Betsy (John) Abercrombie, Charles Sanders, Alyce Kupperman, Ray (Carol) Otto, Rick (Kate) Otto, Russ (Linda) Otto, Rodney (Dana) Otto, and Heidi (Jeff) Villarma, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

His funeral will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bonney Lake, Washington on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 12pm.
