Robert Ferguson, 100, entered into the presence of the Lord on March 1st, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on March 1st, 1926 in Puyallup, Washington, Robert lived a century marked by devotion, resilience, kindness, and quiet strength. He witnessed a world of extraordinary change, yet remained steadfast in the values that defined him — integrity, hard work, a deep love for his Lord and savior Jesus Christ and his family.
Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and nothing brought him more pride than the family he helped build. He is survived by his children Rick Ferguson, Terry (Jinjutha) Ferguson , Becky (Robert) Carter, Brenda (Rick) Carter, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, who will forever cherish his wisdom, steady guidance, and warm presence.
Throughout his life, Robert served in World War 2 as a baker and a 40 millimeter gun loader on an escort carrier. He worked at a lumber mill, he sold vacuums, managed a fishing pond and most recently owned and operated his own home improvement company. He was respected not only for his dedication but for the kindness he extended to everyone he met. Whether sharing stories from years gone by, offering thoughtful advice, or simply sitting in comfortable silence, he made those around him feel at home.
Robert found joy in the simple things- fishing, gardening and pruning his roses, planes and aviation, dining out, and cheering on his Seattle sports teams. His laughter was gentle, his spirit generous, and his love unwavering.
A century of life leaves behind countless memories, lessons, and a legacy of love that will continue through generations. Though his absence leaves a profound void, his family takes comfort in knowing that his life was rich with purpose and deeply well lived. Robert Ferguson will be remembered not only for the years he lived, but for the love he gave so freely.
A memorial service will be held on March 20th at Sumner Voiles Funeral Chapel.
