Richard “Rick” Bjerk, age 78, passed away in Edgewood, Washington on Friday, June 20th, 2025.
Rick was born on September 18th, 1946 in Auburn, Washington, to Lillian and Myren Bjerk. He graduated from Auburn High School in 1965. While in high school he worked at Dietzen Thriftway to help support his mom. After high school Rick entered the National Guard. After returning from service he married his high school sweetheart, Susie. He then began a career as an electrician starting his own business. He travelled across the state working as a residential electrical contractor. He was a hard working family man that never missed attending events to cheer on his children and grandchildren. He was kind and always ready with a smile and good humor.
Rick enjoyed traveling, classic cars and car shows, baseball and playing games with his grandkids. He coached little league and was always up for a game of wiffle ball with grandkids and neighbors. Rick deeply loved his wife of 57 years, children, grandchildren, family, and friends. He was a great husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother, uncle and friend.
A celebration of life will be held in late August at the Edgewood Church of Joy.
