Reita Adora Jackson-Collins; born October 6, 1936 in Pierre, South Dakota; loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother to so many passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the age of 88.

Nicknamed lovingly by children and grandchildren alike, she was often referred to as G Reita. Our mother was not only a beautiful woman inside and out; she was multi- talented. She spent many holiday seasons painting storefront windows throughout Puyallup and Sumner as well as a beautiful voice she shared with the church choir at Sumner First Christian Church. She spent many years as the church pianist and organist at Keyport Bible Church as well. Our mother was also very involved with the community and was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Reita also dedicated much of her time to the Boy Scouts as a Den Mother.

With all the talent and beauty Reita possessed, her love of family and life is what defined her. She was the grandma's house where any child would want to be! She was so fun and full of life and adventure, never short on opinions or personality. She lived her life unapologetically, especially in her later years.

Her faith in the Lord was incredibly strong and brought her much comfort during her lifetime and guided her to her final resting place in the hands of the Lord.

Reita is preceded in death by her late husband William Collins, and her son, Lindsey Elliot Smith.

She was mother to David Lawrence Bunker, Teresa Jo Bunker Reinholz, and Brenda Renee Bunker. Reita was grandmother to 32 and great grandma to 56. She is loved and missed by all and has left a special place in all of our hearts.

Memorial Services will be held at the Sumner First Christian Church on Saturday, July 12th at 11:00AM. We welcome all friends and family to join us in celebrating her life and just what a light in the world that she was!
