Surrounded by family, Marjorie Pauline McGinnis, born to Hazel Vera (Doran) McGinnis and Arthur Paul McGinnis in Labelle Missouri on April 3. 1932 left us to be in the presence of God through grace on October 31, 2024.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Julie (Grim)Bartlett, and Kjanl (Jan Louise Grim) Lapham. Along with her daughters she leaves behind four grandchildren, Jordan Cooke, Jenna Cooke, Wilder Lapham and Sterling Lapham and three sisters Shirley McGinnis and Sharon Shepherd of Arizona, and Patricia Decker of Colorado. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Louie L. Grim, and her sister Charlotte Ralle.
Marjorie lived life fully taking up many hobbies including cake baking, flower arranging, raising angora rabbits and spinning wool, sewing, making jam, gardening, hiking, and reading. She met life long friendships on her travels around the world. She had a heart for helping others and did so frequently. Her radiant smile would light up the room and her giving nature drew people in.
Marjorie loved God and her family with all her heart and her daily actions were a testament to that love. While she will be missed greatly, we celebrate her journey to Heaven.

I first met Marge in the summer of 1963 when my Dad was stationed at the same Air Force Base as them, I was 6 years old. My parents became the best of friends with the Grims and remained so the rest of their lives. I remember falling asleep on their couch after the girls went to bed many times, while Marge, Louie and my folks played cards and maybe had a Salty Dog or 2. Marge told me that any time I stopped by her house, there would be homemade cookies, ice cream or slice of pie waiting for me and she never let me down, Marge's pie crust were the best. Marge's laugh was infectious and and she was always fun to be around. My heart goes out to Julie and Jan for the loss of their Mom, She was a wonderful person and we always thought of her, Louie and you two as family rather than friends. I won't forget all the times we had camping or when they came to the beach to visit. Marge and Louie would come by my work, always unexpected, and ask me out for breakfast. There was a point where Marge had Louie on a diet, at the cafe when the waitress came to take our order Louie told her that he and Marge would just have oatmeal, but bring me the biggest omelet they had with everything on it because he was going to watch me eat it. I am sad to lose her, but she is now with Louie and all those who passed before her who loved her and in a better place. Julie and Jan I love you guys and we loved your folks, God Bless you.
