Obituary For Loretta Lorraine Hammill

Loretta Lorraine Hammill, born November 28th 1961, passed away November 8th 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Loretta is married to her high school sweetheart, Tony Hammill for 45 wonderful years. The two wed on June 14th 1980, and together built a beautiful life most can only dream of, filled with love, laughter, and family. She loved to cook for her family and loved fishing on the ocean with her husband.

She was the proud mother of three daughters: Tara, Dezirea, and Alicia - who were her greatest joy. Loretta's love extended to her four grandchildren: Seidy, Brooke, Kennedy, and Sawyer, and her cherished great-grandson Mateo. That love further extended to to her sons-in-law Joaquin Gonzalez, Joshua Wood, and Ryan Schwader, as well as Paul Ward who is Seidy's companion and father to Mateo.

Born to Beverly and Raymond Farwell, Loretta grew up with two sisters, Eileen and Traci.

Loretta will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the warmth she brought into every life she touched. She had a heart of pure gold and a spirit that will continue to guide and inspire those who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

Loretta was preceded in death by her father Raymond Farwell, her grandson Joaquin Gonzalez Jr., her sister Traci Farwell, her cousin Kate Gregory, and her best friend Kim Boettcher.

A celebration of her life will be held on November 22nd, 1:30pm - 3:30pm, at Des Moines Beach Park Event Center at 22030 Cliff Ave S., Building C, Des Moines, Washington 98198.
