Kelly Sue Fitzpatrick (Frazier) passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 64 in Sumner, Washington. She was born on February 18, 1959, in Vancouver, Washington. Kelly was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Kelly was a spitfire, known for her vibrant personality and unwavering spirit. Kelly attended Hudson's Bay High School and went on to earn her undergraduate degree from Western Washington University. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master's degree from Lesley College. She dedicated over 30 years of her life to teaching elementary school, positively impacting the lives of countless students.
In addition to her career, Kelly was deeply involved in helping others, both locally and internationally. She was an active member of Sumner Rotary and volunteered on numerous rebuilding projects across the country through Samaritan's Purse. One of her favorite retirement projects was helping organize the backpack program at the Sumner Community Food Bank so that local students could receive nutritious food to get them through the weekends. Kelly also played a significant role in establishing a non-profit organization called Team Agape Kenya where she extended her love for community beyond the states.
Outside of her professional and charitable endeavors, Kelly enjoyed spending time outdoors, creating, crafting, talking on the phone, and sharing laughter with those around her. She cherished moments with her family and friends, often gathering for lunches or going to the movies.
Kelly found solace and strength in her faith and was a member of Faith Covenant Church in Sumner, Washington. She worshiped alongside her loved ones, finding comfort and support within her religious community.
A celebration of Kelly's life will be held on Saturday, October 28th, at 1pm at The Barn at Wilson Farm, located at 1425 210th Avenue East, Lake Tapps, Washington 98391. In honor of Kelly's dedication to giving back, monetary contributions to Team Agape Kenya or to the Sumner Community Food Bank (monetary donations or canned food items) will be collected at the celebration, or you may email Mikayla Orphan at mikayla.fitz24@gmail.com if you would like to contribute but are unable to make the event.
Kelly is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Mike Fitzpatrick, her loving daughters Mikayla Orphan and Carly Fitzpatrick, her cherished granddaughter Ea, and her siblings Karen Flanery, Vicki Tomasino, Carla Munson, John Frazier, and Eric Olson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Olson, her step-father Joe Olson, and her father Bruce Frazier.
Kelly will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and dedication to others will continue to inspire and impact lives for years to come.
