Obituary For Joe Harry Wise

Joe Harry Wise (85) passed away on the morning of April 27, 2020. He was the widower of E. Louise Wise and they shared 43 years of marriage together. Joe was born in Mapleton Depot, PA on December 22, 1934, he was the son of Claude and Sunny Wise. He graduated high school in 1952 from Captain Jack Joint High School in Mount Union, PA. He served in the Army from 1955-1963 and was stationed at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, WA where he was introduced to his soon to be bride by none other than the Buck Owens. Upon his discharge from the Army he landed a job at Boeing and worked until May 1, 1995 completing 35 years of service. Joe enjoyed the outdoors mostly biking on the Foothills Trail and hiking up at Mt. Rainier. He also enjoyed going to Goodwill and hunting for many different treasures. Joe could be always seen with a camera in hand to catch all his children\'s and grandchildren\'s sporting events. He was also very good at avoiding a certain so-called political leader on the daily news casts. Joe will be remembered for his soft-spoken heart, giving spirit and entertaining opinionated comments. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and brothers Jack & Chal Wise. He is survived by his brother Richard Wise of Mapleton Depot, PA. And children: Raymond Johnson, David Wise (Jennifer), Diane Hicks (Loren), Donna Keller His grandchildren: Joshua Johnson, Christopher Johnson, James Wise, Brittany Wise, Olivia Wise, Sydney Hicks, Molly Hicks, Ian Wise, Henry Wise and Jordan Keller and his great-grandson Sawyer Johnson, all of who he was very proud of. He is also survived by numerous sister and brother in law’s and nieces and nephews that all loved him dearly. Joe’s celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
