Hebrews 6:19a (NIV)
This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.
Gary was born in Seattle, WA to Arnold and Vlasta Hagemeister. He graduated from Rainier Beach High School in 1964. Gary served honorably in the U.S. Navy as a radar technician aboard an aircraft carrier in Viet Nam, Japan and China, and then in various locations stateside. He worked for Western Electric (AT&T) for 13 years and then as a contractor servicing ATMs for 22 years.
Gary was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was the ever-faithful “cabbie” for his daughters, getting them to and from youth group get-togethers, Jesus Northwest, Creation Festival and their friends’ houses.
He loved football, baseball, bowling, tennis, cribbage, games of all kinds (especially Pinochle), playing Bunko with our cool neighbors, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, Sudoku, making latch hook rugs, silly moose decorations and nature (especially sunrises/sunsets). He faithfully volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels for many years.
Predeceased by Louise Ann Sackett Hagemeister, his beloved wife of 6 years; predeceased by brother Robert Hagemeister and his wife Beverly.
Survived by Belva Hagemeister, his beloved second wife of almost 42 years; daughter Rebecca Malinosky and her husband Jason; daughter Katherine Turner and her husband Tim; granddaughter Ellie Turner; grandson Johnny Turner; brother-in-law Larry Sackett and his wife Nita; brother-in- law John Sackett and his wife Jeri; sister-in-law Kathy Rawley; and sister-in-law Susan Farrell; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
