Obituary For David Paul Lancaster

David Paul Lancaster Born: June 7, 1936, Bozeman, Montana to Perry & Agnes Lancaster Passed: December 17, 2021, Puyallup, Washington with family at his side It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of David Paul Lancaster, a loving and devoted Husband, Father, Brother, Grandpa (Gramps), Pumba (Great Grandpa), Uncle and friend to all whose lives he touched. He left us Friday, December 17, 2021, after suffering from the effects of a stroke. “Life is Good.\"& If you knew Dad, you heard him make that comment often. Frequently that simple phrase lifted the spirits of family and friends. Dave had a larger-than-life personality. He and his family lived in the Denver area for most of their lives. Retirement was spent with Marty in Grand Junction, CO for 21 years. He moved to Buckley, WA the last two years to be near family. Dave worked in the packaging industry in the Denver area. He was truly a Titan of the industry and made friends and gained the respect of everyone he met. He was a mentor to many throughout his career. There are many who still do business like Dave because of what they learned from him. We always joked that Dad could sell ice to an Eskimo: he was the best at whatever he did. He would tell us, “If You are Going to be One, be a Good One\". The life he provided for his family was like something from a movie. We enjoyed camping, boating/fishing, hunting, horses, and the list goes on. Most of all, he loved and provided for his family. Dad was a devout Catholic. Through his actions and words, he lived his faith, and he was an example to us all. He lived his life in service to others and gave freely and graciously of his time, talent, and treasure. Dave is preceded in death by his devoted wife Marilyn, son Mark, daughter Paula and brother Don. He is survived by his two sons, Doug and his wife Debra Lancaster and Dan and his wife Beth Lancaster, nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A funeral Mass to honor Dave’s life will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 11:00am. The church is located at 9405 W Florida Ave, Lakewood, CO 80232. A Celebration of Life will take place in the onsite parish hall directly after the funeral Mass where we all can come together to remember Dave. I am so sorry to hear about your father\'s death. I just read it in yesterday\'s Denver Post. He and I had been friends since 1975 and knew him as strong man of faith. He will be missed! May God bless you and your families in this time of need. Chip Wernig

My sincere condolences to Dan and Doug and their families. I will always have fond memories of your family from when Paula and I were friends growing up. I am grateful to you for having gotten in touch with me about the loss of your father. He was a great guy, and I\'m glad I got to chat with him a few years ago. May eternal light shine upon him, and your mother, and Paula and Mark, and may your memories of them bring you some measure of comfort. All my best, Toni
