Obituary For Brett Arthur Loe

Brett Arthur Loe passed away on Wednesday March 20, 2024 at the age of 53 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup Washington. Brett was born on April 14, 1970 in Bremerton, Washington to the late Richard Loe and Judi Rosenberg.

Brett graduated from Puyallup High School in 1988 and that summer he joined the US Navy. Brett had an intense interest and natural aptitude for the weather. His training and profession in the Navy was as an Aerographers Mate.

Aerographers Mates are the Navy’s weathermen and are trained in the science of meteorology and physical oceanography. They distribute data to aircrafts, ships and shore activities. Brett briefed the pilots during Desert Storm while stationed in Rota, Spain. Brett’s chosen profession was a very challenging and hard to qualify for position to which Brett excelled.

Brett was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1991 after his time serving was up. Brett then returned home to Washington State after his service in Rota, Spain. Brett had planned to continue his weather job in some capacity but ultimately chose to go into the graphic arts / printing field which he started in high school.

Brett first started as an offset operator eventually learning digital printing then on to front end formatting. Brett’s current job as a digital supervisor at Capitol City Press in Tumwater,Wa was the happiest he had been and he was so thankful for the opportunity and the friendships he made.

Brett met his wife Cindy during their 11th grade history class. They connected after high school when Brett was home on leave after his Navy bootcamp and school. They wrote letters while he was enlisted and once he returned home, resumed their life together for 35 years. Brett was a devoted and loving husband, son and brother. He was a caring and selfless friend to many near and far. He was happiest just spending time with his wife and dog running errands or playing in their backyard. He loved to travel and visit his Mom and sister and other extended family. Brett loved all his family dearly.

Brett’s faith in Jesus was the primary cornerstone in his life. He loved to read the Bible daily as well as pray for others. Brett had many talents and interests from building computers to photography to watching sci-fi shows to cooking. He particularly loved making Elvis Presley macaroni salad for social gatherings and it was always a big hit.

Though we are saddened at Brett’s departure, we are grateful that this is not the end. He ran with great endurance and finished his race here on earth well. We have hope and faith that we will see him once again and together we will rejoice in the presence of our Savior.

Brett leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Cindy, Mom Judi Rosenberg, sister Shannon Loe, brother in law Chris Hood, father in law Glen Pierce as well as a host of family including aunts, uncles, cousins and the many friends he made along the way.

Brett will be laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA with Military Honors on Thursday June 27, 2024 at 2:30 pm.

Donations in Brett’s name can be made to Sepsis Alliance if you are moved to do so.
