Beverly Janet (Tool) Cutting was born in Riverside, California on May 26th, 1943, and died surrounded by her family, at Auburn Regional Medical Center on October 11th, 2023.

Jan leaves behind her two sons Aaron Cutting & Chuck Cutting as well as her daughter, Meredith Smith. She also leaves behind a son-in-law, Alex Smith and a daughter-in-law, Laurie Cutting as well as two granddaughters whom she loved dearly, Akaisha Cutting and Cooper Ackerson. Jan also leaves behind several loving family members in California, (Brother-Bill Tool (Wife-Marty & Nephew Chris Tool and Niece Stephanie Plemons), Sister-Paula Hubbard (Husband-Mike Hubbard and Nephews-Ryan Hubbard and Blake Hubbard). Additionally, Jan also leaves behind family members in Washington which include: a niece Michelle Willey-Hellwig (husband Jeremy Hellwig and nephew Joshua Hellwig) Jan also leaves behind many dear friends in Washington, California and Hawaii whom she considered family, and she spent a great deal of time fishing with and has built a lifetime of memories to cherish forever.

Jan was an Art Education Major that graduated from the University of Washington and later spent over 25 years working as a Multimedia Specialist for the City of Kent, before retiring.

A funeral service will be held at Parkway Presbyterian Church in Tacoma WA on Saturday October 21st, 2023, at 2pm and we welcome everyone to join us in celebrating Jan's life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkway Presbyterian Church (food Bank) in Jan's memory. A reception will begin immediately following the service.
