Obituary For Beverly Ann Shumake

Beverly Ann Shumake, 86 yrs, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at home, with family by her side. She was born at St Joseph hospital, Tacoma, WA to Clarance and Gertrude Ball, August 1, 1935. Bev lived most of her life in Sumner, WA and graduated from Sumner High School where she met her husband, Dave Shumake. She was involved with “Eastern Star” for several years, she was a member of a local Arts & Crafts Club, and she loved bowling! Beverly worked for Pacific NW Bell, retired after 25 years. After retirement she volunteered at the Sumner Police Department for 6 years and worked for Sumner Municipal Court for 17 years. Also, Bev attended Bible Study, faithfully, for the last 20 year. Everyone who knew Bev, knows she had her favorite recipe, lemon bars, pea salad, teriyaki steak. She is known as “Grandma Bev” to all who knew her, family and friends! Because of her kind heartedness and along with her fiery personality, she adopted many others as her own. Beverly is proceeded in death by her parents and her brother Buster Ball. She is survived by her 3 children, Karen Chappell, Kevin (Dana) Shumake, and Jeff (Sheryl) Shumake, 5 grandchildren; Nichole Gregory, Jacob Gregory (Lynette), Megan Gregory (Marcia), KC Shumake (Stephanie), Joseph Shumake (Mackenzie) and 9 great grandchildren; Christopher, Ireland, Jacob, Trinity, Callie, Carson, Sophia, Samuel, and Sawyer.

We will be honoring her life, March 26, 2022, Eagles Club (Puyallup), 11:00 to 3:00pm

Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, neighbor, friend .. will be missed by all!
