Obituary For Arlene Ott Dougherty

Arlene Ott Dougherty, 89, recently of Bonney Lake, Washington, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away at home on August 22, 2023. Arlene was the daughter of Arvie Lee Ott (Reeves) and Alden Davidson Ott born to them on March 18, 1934.

Arlene was a beloved mother, grandmommie, and GG. She enjoyed watching sports for fun, particularly football and tennis and loved playing volleyball. Arlene had a lovely singing voice and was gifted at playing the piano and organ. She enjoyed listening to music of all kinds. She also enjoyed growing plants and flowers. Arlene loved to return to Cincinnati for visits with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Being called GG by her great-grandchildren was one of her greatest joys in life even when it was via facetime.

Arlene was preceded in death by her son Timothy James Dougherty; mother Arvie Lee Minnich (Reeves) and stepfather Rev. Paul Ted Minnich; father Alden Davidson Ott; and brother Rodney D. Minnich.

She leaves behind her daughter Tara Lynn Cooper and husband Melvin; daughter Tami Lubbehusen and husband Joe; son Todd Patrick Dougherty and wife Gail; daughter Tracey McGill and husband Mike; and daughter-in-law Ellen Hyer Dougherty. Six grandchildren Daniel McGill (Emily), Jessica McGill Cleek (Nick), Erin Cooper Cornett (Nick), Lindsey Dougherty D’Amico (Greg), Ryan McGill (Nancy), and Garrett Dougherty (Taylor). Seven great-grandchildren Kennedy, Lily, Landon, Eli, Sadie, Logan, and Welkin.

Dearly loved by her family, Arlene will be greatly missed.

Following her cremation, Arlene’s ashes will be interred at Arlington Memorial Gardens, Cincinnati, Ohio.

The family requests that you donate to your local hospice in lieu of flowers.

    In the time I spent with Arlene I have many fond memories, but one of my fondest memories of Arlene is the many times she would surprise me when she would smile at me just "out of the blue."
