Obituary For Anthony "Tony" Paul James

Anthony P. James, fondly known as “Tony”, was born on February 17, 1971, in Brooklyn, New York, to Sylvia and George James. He graduated from Brooklyn Tech High School and earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Following his graduation, Tony embarked on a successful 20-year career in Medical and Surgical Sales, where he not only excelled but also mentored many individuals in the industry, helping them achieve their own successes. In 2023, he fulfilled his long-held dream of becoming a full-time Real Estate agent with Windermere, bringing along exceptional sales skills, outstanding customer service, and commitment to excellence.

Tony was a truly remarkable person! He had an incredible sense of humor, a light-hearted nature, sharp intelligence, and was simply a joy to be around. He was genuinely loving and was a friend to everyone, making him a favorite among many. As a devoted son and dedicated father, he cherished his role as a “girl dad.” Words cannot express the depth of his absence.

He is survived by his mother, two sisters, and one brother. Tony's legacy continues through his two daughters, Laila and Zuri James, who will carry forward his wonderful spirit.

“Joy shared is Joy multiplied. Grief shared is Grief divided.”

Tony entered my world at a party and we formed a friendship that same night. We had many shared interests with plenty of comical moments that followed. He jokingly called me his favorite person, but that title has truly become sentimental. Tony has positively touched everyone's lives and left an everlasting impression on those who were fortunate to encounter such a wonderful guy. My heart and condolences go out to his family, most importantly to his mother & daughters whom he loves and cherishes unconditionally. Tony will forever live in our hearts as he rests peacefully.

A Tribute to My Brother, Tony "Col-train" Tony was more than a friend—father a son he was a brother. A man of unwavering integrity, fearless in his convictions, and deeply devoted to those he loved. His presence in my life was like a guidance system, offering wisdom, honesty, and a no-nonsense perspective that kept me grounded. He never sugarcoated the truth, but he always delivered it with a purpose—to help you grow, to challenge you, and to make sure you stood tall in your own life. His passion was undeniable. You could see it in his eyes—when he spoke about his family, his work, and his philosophy on life, they would blaze with intensity. He believed in being a man of his word, in treating people with respect, and in always striving to evolve. He wasn't content with mediocrity; he was always pushing forward, refining himself, becoming more. Recently, he made a bold move—he walked away from the pharmaceutical sales world, not because he had to, but because he refused to be treated less than he deserved. He found a new path in real estate, one that aligned with his values of service, care, and genuine connection. We would talk for hours about selling—not just in the transactional sense, but in the deeper way of truly helping people, treating them as family, and making a difference in their lives. That was Tony's way. It wasn't about closing deals; it was about building relationships, about being someone people could trust, someone who showed up, someone who kept their word. I was honored to have him as a groomsman at my wedding this July. The thought of not having him there is painful, but I know he'll be with me in spirit, just as he always has been. His lessons, his strength, and his fearlessness will live on in me, and I will approach life in the same way he did—head-on, without fear, with love, and with an unshakable sense of purpose. Tony, I love you, brother. Your presence, your wisdom, and your heart will never be forgotten. Rest easy, knowing that the fire you carried within you continues to burn in all of us who had the privilege to know you.
