Amy Jo Williams (Mortensen) of Covington, Washington passed away on Monday, June 01, 2020 at the young age of 40 while at Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington. Amy Jo was born in Spokane, Washington on April 16, 1980 to Barry Mortensen and Debra Detloff. Amy Jo graduated from Kamiakin High School in 1998 and married her high school sweetheart, Michael in August 2000. Together they built a home with two children that were loved beyond measure. Amy Jo was so proud to be the mom of “Little” Michael and “Sissy” Makayla. She always made sure that birthdays and holidays were so very special for her family. Amy Jo truly enjoyed vacations to Easton, Washington with her family by her side as memories were being made. She had a love for most all antiques and worked at her mother’s antique store when she was a young woman, adding new pieces to her collection all the time. If you were lucky enough to know Amy Jo then you would know that she enjoyed talking your ear off. Through her constant talking and the jokes she provided, Amy Jo had a beautiful voice, the voice of an angel. Her singing brought joy and goosebumps as she could sing anything. Amy Jo is survived by her husband Mike, children Michael and Makayla, father Barry (Heather) Mortensen, mother Debra (Hank) Detloff, and siblings Tyler and Mallorie. Amy Jo knew how to make us laugh and how to always make us feel loved. We will forever miss Amy Jo’s caring heart, remember her beautiful smile and her tender touch. A service will be scheduled at a later date due to the current crisis. When plans are in place, information will be passed along, in which we may celebrate Amy Jo’s life.
