Obituary For Debby Lee Shelton

Debby Lee Shelton gained her wings 1/4/2025 and joined our heavenly father. She was surrounded by family at the time of her passing.

Debby is survived by her son Jeremy Shelton, Daughter in Law, Tami Shelton, Granddaughter, Brooklyn Shelton, Grandson Riley Shelton, Sister Joyce Meachaem, Husband Robert, Sister, Patricia Christiansen, Brother Brian Shelton, Wife Kristen Shelton, Nephew, Andrew Shelton and Karen Saynor, Partner of 32 years.

Debby was an organ donor and was able to give the gift of sight with cornea donation.

Debby was born To Warren and Lorna Shelton in Idaho falls, Idaho, on May 30th 1956. She met her life time partner and love of her life, Karen Saynor, in 1993. They lived happily together for the next 32 years.

Debby went to school at Eagle Rock Junior High and Skyline High School. She eventually moved to Salt Lake City. From there she moved to Washington State in 1990 and resided in Kent, Washington with her son, Jeremy. During this time, she was happily traveling with her softball team and her son in tow.

In 2010 Debby and Karen found their happy place on Lake Sawyer Island in Maple Valley, Washington. They would spend 5 wonderfully adventurous years there.

Debby enjoyed gardening and definitely had a green thumb. She worked within the industry for the last several years. Another love of hers was camping and to be outdoors and she took every opportunity to do this. Debby also enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Brooklyn and was very proud of the woman that she was becoming. A big part of her life in recent years were her fur babies Otis and Frankie (her 2 pugs) which she loved to spoil.

Debby was a happy person and loved to laugh. She was known for her loving heart. She was thoughtful and generous, so much so that it was often at her own detriment. Debby will be missed by many people, as she made an impact on many people’s lives.

Debby’s final resting place will be Table Rock in the Grand Tetons. Jeremy Shelton will be spreading Debby’s ashes this summer when the snow melts. Jeremy and his cousins will be making this trek together for her and Debby’s wishes.
